Associate Attorney (Fully Remote - Licensed to practice in WI, IL, and IN)

Job Title: Associate Attorney (Multi-State Licensed: IL, WI, IN – Traffic Law Experience Preferred)

License Requirement: Must be actively licensed to practice law in at least two of the following states: Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Candidates licensed in all three states are strongly preferred.

We are seeking a driven Associate Attorney licensed in IL, WI, and/or IN, with experience or strong interest in traffic law, to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of transforming legal services through technology while working entirely from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in virtual traffic-related proceedings, including but not limited to speeding violations and other traffic-related offenses.
• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and appeals.
• Manage dockets efficiently, ensuring all case deadlines and court appearances are tracked and met.
• Maintain regular communication with courts and prosecutors to stay updated on procedural changes and case statuses.
• Conduct thorough legal research and provide strategic advice on traffic law cases.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates, clarify legal processes, and answer questions in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Collaborate with the internal team to refine and optimize our proprietary case management system for seamless attorney–court interactions.
• Assist in the development and improvement of workflows to enhance efficiency in client and case management.
• Maintain organized case files, ensuring timely updates and compliance with court deadlines.
• Monitor legal trends in traffic law and contribute to team discussions on improving service delivery.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Active bar license in at least two of the following: Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana.
• Experience in traffic law (prosecution or defense) is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a high volume of cases efficiently while maintaining quality.
• Familiarity with legal case management software (experience with legal tech is a plus).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, courts, and prosecutors.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• A keen interest in leveraging technology to improve legal services.

This is an entry-level position designed to provide the right candidate with an opportunity to grow within our organization. While prior experience in traffic law is a plus, comprehensive training and mentorship from experienced attorneys will be provided. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in the legal field, work with cutting-edge legal technology, and develop a specialization in traffic law — a high-demand practice area.

We are seeking someone with the right skills, motivation, and commitment to learning. Initially, the role will focus on core responsibilities, but we see this as the foundation for long-term growth. Over time, and as trust is built, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibilities, including managing our Northern-Western region of operations as we expand.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
