Job Description

TEAM MEMBER WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ONSITE FOUR DAYS A WEEK AT OUR RALEIGH, NC HQ.

The Associate Brand Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing omni-channel brand strategies, driving the development of campaigns that span digital, print, and experiential platforms. Collaborating closely with many cross-functional teams, the Associate Brand Manager ensures all brand initiatives reflect deep product knowledge and uphold positive brand reputations for the Advance Auto Parts brand and our owned brands, including DieHard and Carquest. This role is ideal for a strategic marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about championing the customer experience while delivering impactful, brand-consistent messaging.

This position is Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote), based at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Responsibilities:

  • Brand Strategy & Positioning
    • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies aligned with business goals.
    • Translate brand elements into go-to-market plans and campaigns.
    • Develop and incorporate product and merchandising knowledge into marketing plans and campaigns.
    • Protect brand reputation and uphold brand integrity in the case of quality, manufacturing or other issues.
    • Understand and champion the voice of the customer in all brand interactions.
    • Monitor market trends and consumer insights to inform brand direction.
  • Content & Communication
    • Oversee content creation and messaging to support brand strategies and campaigns aligned with business goals.
    • Lead creative development for brand campaigns across digital, social, and print media to ensure brand consistency and impact.
    • Partner with internal teams, external agencies and vendors to ensure brand consistency and impact.
    • Share internal updates on brand campaigns to enhance team awareness and foster internal support of ongoing brand initiatives.
  • Project Management
    • Lead and manage multiple brand initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain accountability.
    • Created needed documentation and resources for monitoring milestone and providing stakeholder communication updates.
    • Conduct post-project reviews to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with paid media, ecommerce, product marketing, merchandising, creative teams, voice of customer team, and more to align messaging and execution.
    • Serve as a key member of the brand marketing team, guiding enterprise-wide brand messaging and success.
    • Represent the brand at events such as photoshoots, training, tradeshows and more, as needed (including <20% travel).
  • Performance & Reporting
    • Establish benchmarks and KPIs for brand initiatives.
    • Analyze campaign performance and provide strategic recommendations.
    • Manage budgets and vendor relationships for brand programs.
    • Lead internal campaign vision and review sessions for brand initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand management, preferably in retail or consumer goods.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex projects.
  • Familiarity with content creation, social media tools, editing tools, etc.
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel brand ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Automotive knowledge is a plus.
  • Bilingual content creation experience is a plus.

Location & Work Availability:

This position is Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote), based at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina. Flexibility for occasional travel may be required.

Physical Job Requirements:

This role may require extended periods working at a computer, occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs., and travel to events or tradeshows as needed.
