Associate Category Analyst

To support our continued growth, we are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Category Analyst to join our merchandising team.

Role Overview

The Category Analyst will play a key role in supporting category managers by analyzing sales trends, monitoring performance, and providing actionable insights to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions across our convenience stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze sales, margin, and inventory data to identify category performance trends.
• Support category managers with data-driven recommendations for product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
• Track competitor pricing, promotions, and market trends.
• Prepare dashboards, scorecards, and reports to monitor category KPIs.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate forecasting and inventory management.
• Assist in planogram analysis and execution by providing insights on product placement effectiveness.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support business decisions and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail analytics, category management support, or merchandising analysis (convenience, grocery, or CPG experience preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret large data sets and present actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
