Associate – Communications & Advocacy

Position Summary:

The Associate – Communications & Advocacy will support the planning, implementation, and day-to-day execution of communication, media, and advocacy activities. The role will contribute to content development, digital communications, documentation of impact, and coordination with internal teams to strengthen organizational visibility and engagement.

Location: Karachi

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Development Studies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred but not required).
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in communications, media, or advocacy, preferably in the development or non-profit sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.
  • Basic experience with social media platforms and digital content tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication & Content Support

  • Support drafting, editing, and formatting of communication materials including press releases, newsletters, blogs, reports, and social media content.
  • Assist in documenting success stories, case studies, field updates, and impact narratives from programs and partners.
  • Ensure content is aligned with organizational messaging, tone, and branding guidelines.

Digital & Social Media

  • Support management of organizational social media platforms by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to basic inquiries.
  • Assist in developing engaging digital content for campaigns, events, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Track basic social media metrics and prepare summaries for reporting and learning.

Media & Advocacy Support

  • Support media outreach activities, including maintaining media contact lists and tracking coverage.
  • Assist in preparing briefing notes, talking points, and advocacy materials.
  • Support coordination of advocacy campaigns, events, and media engagements.

Website & Knowledge Management

  • Support website content updates, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance.
  • Assist in organizing communication assets such as photos, videos, stories, and publications.

Coordination & Administration

  • Coordinate with program and operations teams to gather content, updates, and visuals.
  • Support planning and logistics for communication-related activities, campaigns, and events.
  • Perform any other communication-related tasks assigned by the Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
