Associate Design Director (Civils)

The project:

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

You’ll be responsible for:

Shape and deliver strategic business plans to time and budget.
Define and oversee project design management delivery of large scale infrastructure packages including roads and bridges.
Appoint and manage consultants across workstreams.
Lead and resource design teams to achieve outcomes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to implement programmes and initiatives.
Influence senior leaders through data, KPIs and reviews.
Drive continuous improvement, training and transformational change.
Champion client relationships and net zero carbon transition.

You’ll need to have:

Proven track record as a technical design lead for large scale infrastructure construction projects.
Degree qualification in the relevant subject essential.
Chartered or professional membership is an advantage.
Membership of RIBA, MICE, CIBSE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development is preferred.
Knowledge of building safety legislation, building standards, construction contracts, professional appointments and health and safety legislation.
