Associate Designer

Analog Heart Creative Studio is a multidisciplinary studio leading the design, production, and creation of an eclectic array of projects across the entertainment, attraction, and experience design industries. At AH we focus on teamwork, culture, behavior, and results -- over rules and regulations. We take pride in producing extraordinary creative outcomes but believe it’s the journey, not the destination that matters and if we are not having fun along the way then we are doing something wrong.

Role:

We are currently looking to fill a full-time role for an Associate Designer in our Seattle Office.

In this role you will be supporting project teams through all design phases. You will be involved in all facets of the design process, from creating mood boards and blue-sky concept renderings to producing design drawings for construction and coordinating of scenic elements on site.

You will work with design teams from inception to completion, to ensure project goals are achieved within specific budgets and time frames.

Our ideal candidate understands design and fabrication across multiple markets and levels of complexity focusing around both temporary and permanent installations.

Skills:

  • Proficient skills using AutoCAD and/or Revit to create fully dimensioned and notated construction drawings
  • Proficient skills creating 3D solid models, (Rhino is a plus but not required)
  • Proficient skills using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
  • Proficient rendering skills to visualize built environments
  • Proficient skills using Excel
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience understanding and coordinating drawings coming from other vendors / partners such as lighting designers, AV, Architects etc.
  • Understanding of drafting standards and the ability to conform to existing company-wide drafting practices
  • Familiarity with 3DSmax, Twinmotion, and Unreal is a plus but not required
  • Proficiency with hand sketching is a plus
  • Model-making, crafting and fabrication skills are a plus but not required

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in scenic design, theatrical design, architecture or
designing branded environments. Those with experience in interior design or other
relative industries may also apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
