Associate Director

Job Summary:


The job holder is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and governance of ERC’s corporate events, executive engagements, and large-scale activations that reinforce Expo 2030 milestones and stakeholder participation and translate overarching communication and reputation objectives into high-impact physical experiences, protocol-driven events, and milestone activations that strengthen stakeholder confidence, executive visibility, and international engagement.


Responsibilities :


Corporate Event Strategy & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of ERC corporate events, executive engagements, and official ceremonies.
  • Translate corporate communication objectives into structured event concepts, formats, and execution plans.
  • Ensure events align with ERC brand standards, messaging priorities, and strategic milestones.

Protocol & Executive Engagements

  • Oversee protocol planning and execution for senior leadership, VIPs, international delegations, and dignitaries.
  • Coordinate executive participation, run-of-show, seating, hosting, and official courtesies.
  • Ensure compliance with diplomatic, cultural, and governmental protocol requirements.

Expo Milestone Activations

  • Design and deliver activations that reinforce key Expo milestones, progress moments, and countdown phases.
  • Drive stakeholder participation through experiential formats, launches, site visits, and symbolic moments.
  • Ensure activations support broader narrative alignment across communications, media, and stakeholder engagement.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Corporate Communications, Media, Protocol, Security, Operations, and external partners to deliver seamless events.
  • Align event execution with crisis readiness, reputation considerations, and executive messaging.
  • Manage agencies, production vendors, and event partners to agreed standards, budgets, and timelines.

Planning, Governance & Assurance

  • Develop detailed event plans, risk assessments, budgets, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure events meet internal governance, approval, and audit requirements.
  • Capture post-event evaluations, lessons learned, and performance insights to continuously improve delivery.


Educational Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Marketing, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline


Professional Certifications Preferred:


  • Event management, protocol, project management, or stakeholder engagement.


Experience:


  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate events, large-scale activations, government or mega-project engagement, or major international programs.


Nature of Experience:


  • Delivery leadership roles within corporate communications, public affairs, government events, or mega-programs
  • Hands-on experience executing executive-level events under high visibility and scrutiny
  • Operating in highly governed, time-critical, and reputation-sensitive environments
  • Translating strategic narratives into physical experiences and public moments
