Associate Experiential Exhibit Designer

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Individual brainstorming and concepting for ground-up model creation/design based on client requirements and requests or based on pre-existing objects/designs for anything from individual assets (Tables, chairs, media walls, etc.) to full exhibits.
  • Producing model animation, rendering and model revisions.
  • Prep and packaging of files for internal/client review and production.
  • Presentation deck creation using applicable design elements, information, and examples.
  • Presentation update/cleanup based on client feedback.
  • Participating in client/internal design discussions and meetings.
  • Attend and contribute to project-team concepting and brainstorming meetings.
  • Independent creative exploration to produce design concepts applicable to RFP guidelines.
  • Create basic design/model composition based on RFP guidelines and detail level requirements.
  • Provides support through the entire RFP presentation with an organized, cohesive deck.
  • Assist with creative tasks & work production for client aligning work with creative leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, art, modeling, animation, or related field.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years’ experience in design, 3-D modeling and/or animation.
  • Highly effective analytical, decision-making, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner with peers and business unit leaders.
  • Ability to navigate between competing priorities, quickly identify and manage prioritization, be able to meet business deliverables.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of Sketchup (design/ 3D modeling work), 3d Software (rendering as well as flythroughs), and/or equivalent (design/3D modeling work).
  • Able to use various 3rd party rendering programs (Podium, v-Ray, Rhino, Redshift, Octane Render, etc.), Adobe Suite (mainly Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign).
  • Proficient in MS365 and Microsoft Office Suite (mainly PowerPoint for presentations).
  • Clear and concise inner/interdepartmental communication and client-facing.
  • Ability to create an efficient and navigable file management system.
  • Willingness to learn industry standards.
  • Ability to understand and act-upon direction from a Senior Designer/Creative Director.

Physical Demands (refer to Addendum):

  • Ability to work in an office environment doing sedentary work.

Under general direction, the Associate Experiential Exhibit Designer is responsible for concepting, creating, and designing 3-D space, may include flythroughs, static renderings, spatial flow, strategy and presentations for clients in support of Switch business goals and objectives.
