ASSOCIATE GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAM ANALYST

Under the direction of the Business Services Supervisor (Staff Services Manager I), the incumbent serves as a Senior Business Operations Analyst and is responsible for independently performing a variety of complex and technical analytical assignments within the Business Operations Unit. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, receiving and tracking assets, maintaining inventory records using ServiceNow and FI$Cal, shipping and coordinating the delivery of assets, processing surplus property, creating and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), and coordinating and supporting Business Operations Unit projects. The incumbent is expected to work independently and exercise a high degree of initiative, sound judgment, and technical expertise in carrying out these duties.


Occasional travel may be required, up to 15%. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle. Driving is required, up to 15%.

The reporting location for this position is located at the CNRA Building, 715 P Street, 15th Floor, Sacramento CA 95814.

Working Conditions

Professional office environment working in standard office configuration, executive offices and cubicles.
Daily use of laptop computers, phone, copiers, general office equipment, and related software applications and the Internet.
Occasional overtime may be required.

  • Transfer Eligibility – Must have current employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable. If in a different classification, you must meet the minimum qualifications (see Minimum Qualifications section and associated links above).
  • Reinstatement Eligibility – Previously obtained permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable. If in a different classification, you must meet the minimum qualifications (see Minimum Qualifications section and associated links above).

In some special circumstances, candidates who meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position, but who do not have one of the types of eligibility listed above, may be hired. However, this is rare, and the preferred method of appointment is through eligibility as described above.
