Job Title: Platform Control & Support – PCT Junior Analyst

Overview of the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Analyst to join the Platform Control & Support (PCT) team. In this role, you will assist in maintaining a robust control environment, supporting Investment Teams in ensuring effective pre- and post-trade compliance monitoring within tight deadlines.

You will gain hands-on experience across mandate control implementation, trade monitoring, and compliance support, while collaborating closely with global stakeholders. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for investment operations, keen attention to detail, and a desire to develop expertise within a dynamic asset management environment.

Key Responsibilities

Mandate Control Implementation

• Support the implementation and maintenance of investment mandate controls, including onboarding, rule updates, and guideline change activities.

• Assist in performing impact assessments and documentation updates as part of the guideline change process.

• Review and verify control configurations and updates made by team members for accuracy and compliance with internal standards.

• Maintain accurate records of all mandate control changes, ensuring audit readiness and traceability.

Violation Monitoring and Escalation

• Support the overnight monitoring of investment violations and breaches using internal tools such as Aladdin.

• Ensure potential issues are identified, logged, escalated, and resolved within defined service levels.

• Collaborate with senior analysts and investment teams to ensure timely resolution of compliance exceptions.

• Help enhance monitoring workflows and contribute to improving the team’s risk control framework.

Broker and Trade Management Support

• Assist with maintaining broker data and ‘ready-to-trade’ lists within Aladdin.

• Support the Trading Desk by addressing queries related to broker setup and trading permissions.

• Ensure accurate and up-to-date trade coding to enable smooth pre- and post-trade compliance processes.

• Coordinate with operations and compliance teams to ensure alignment on trading-related data integrity.

Operational Excellence & Documentation

• Ensure that all assigned tasks are executed in accordance with documented procedures and quality standards.

• Escalate issues to senior team members as needed and follow up through to resolution.

• Assist in updating and maintaining procedure documents, reflecting new functionalities or process improvements.

• Contribute to the team’s continuous improvement efforts by identifying efficiency or automation opportunities.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong understanding or interest in investment operations, mandate compliance, and control frameworks.

• Foundational knowledge of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., formulas, lookups, pivot tables).

• Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

• Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues systematically.

• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work collaboratively within a global team environment.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience or internship in asset management, portfolio compliance, or operations control.

• Exposure to tools such as Aladdin, Charles River, or similar investment compliance platforms.

• Familiarity with trade lifecycle management, pre/post-trade monitoring, and investment restriction guidelines.

• Understanding of broker data management and trade authorization processes.

• Experience with data analysis tools or basic coding languages (e.g., SQL, Python, VBA).

• Awareness of regulatory frameworks impacting investment management (e.g., UCITS, MiFID, SFDR).

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline.
