Associate Manger, PMO - Power Export

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

To provide centralized project management oversight and coordination across all business development activities related to Power Export, ensuring effective planning, execution, and monitoring of initiatives in line with strategic objectives. The role is responsible for establishing and maintaining project governance frameworks, tracking progress against key milestones, coordinating inputs across internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely reporting to senior management to support informed decision-making and successful delivery of the Power Export portfolio.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Project Management Methodologies & Standards


Develops, implements, and rigorously enforces project management methodologies, standards, and tools across all business development activities, ensuring consistent, efficient, and high-quality execution of projects within the Power Export portfolio. Provides centralized oversight and strategic coordination of all Business Development activities related to Power Export, ensuring initiatives are effectively planned, seamlessly executed, and rigorously monitored in alignment with corporate objectives. Designs, implements, and maintains robust governance frameworks and processes that drive efficiency, accountability, and cross-functional alignment across the portfolio.


Governance & Policy Compliance


Ensures that all projects are fully compliant with the company’s internal policies, procedures, and governance requirements by embedding appropriate controls and regularly monitoring adherence throughout the project lifecycle. Interfaces with consultants, advisors, and external stakeholders to align governance, reporting, and execution standards.


Project Support & Coordination


Provides proactive support to project managers and cross-functional teams during the planning, execution, and delivery phases, facilitating coordination, resolving issues, and promoting best practices to ensure successful and timely delivery of all initiatives. Engages closely with Business Development leadership, supporting functions, and multi-disciplinary project teams across ACWA Power and third-party partners, consolidating and synthesizing inputs from diverse internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency across the portfolio.


Portfolio Monitoring & Status Reporting


Continuously monitors the progress of ongoing projects and programs across the portfolio, identifies potential risks, dependencies, or deviations, and drives corrective actions to maintain delivery momentum. Monitors progress against defined milestones and prepares accurate and timely progress reports, dashboards, and executive briefings to keep senior management informed, enabling timely, data-driven decision-making and successful delivery of the Power Export pipeline.


Documentation Management & Performance Reporting


Maintains a centralized repository of project documentation and key performance metrics, ensuring transparency and consistency across the portfolio. Produces high-impact reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations that provide senior leadership with clear, data-backed insights, supporting comprehensive performance reviews, gap analyses, and long-term decision-making.


Continuous Improvement


Contributes to the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmers, and projects in line with the organization's standards. Develops a standardized, real-time monitoring and reporting system that enhances visibility, accountability, and decision support, while ensuring improvement opportunities are systematically captured and acted upon.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in energy/ renewable energy, consulting.
  • Microsoft Software.
  • Presentation Skills.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A pro-active high achiever with high energy levels, who is used to working under pressure and to tight/challenging deadlines.
  • Basic business and financial analysis skills.
  • Good understanding of the business value chain.
  • Thorough attention to detail & Strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
  • Basic understanding of technical, legal and project finance knowledge.
