ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an ambitious iOS developer with strong programming foundations to join Global Rescue as an Associate Software Engineer. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining GRID mobile applications in a fast-paced environment across iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. The ideal candidate stays current with mobile trends and leverages modern tools to enhance user experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create intuitive interfaces and interaction layers using best practices.
• Design and develop GRID mobile applications for iOS platforms (iPhone, iPads, Apple Watch).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and release new features.
• Apply problem-solving techniques to provide reliable solutions to diverse challenges.
• Write unit tests to ensure reliability, covering edge cases and usability issues.
• Take ownership of code, proactively implementing features and fixing bugs to improve the product.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to maximize efficiency and user experience.
• Stay updated about AI-assisted software engineering trends to drive continuous productivity improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors in IT/Computer Science/Software Engineering
• Recent graduate or up to 1 year of experience in iOS application development (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch).
• Understanding of Apple’s design principles and Human Interface Guidelines
• Working knowledge of MVVM, MVP or VIPER architectural patterns
• Knowledge of RESTful web services, URL Session, and Apple Push Notification Service.
• Experience with Swift and the iOS SDK, including UIKit, Core Data/ORM, Core Location, MapKit, Geofencing, Auto Layout, Custom Controls, socket-based chat, third-party libraries, JSON, and APIs. Familiarity with Xcode 14 or later is preferred.
• Understanding of App Store release process
• Knowledge of Database Designing and SQL Programming
• Good problem-solving skills
• Proficient in leveraging AI-powered tools for coding, testing, documentation, and productivity improvement.
