Associate, Workday Financials Developer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Workday Financials Analyst/Developer to support and maintain our Workday Financials platform. This role is primarily focused on Business-as-Usual (BAU) activities, including day-to-day system support, maintenance, and incremental enhancements across financial modules.

The role will work closely with senior Workday team members and business stakeholders to help resolve issues, support users, and implement approved changes. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to learn while delivering reliable, high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for Workday Financials modules, assisting with issue resolution and routine system maintenance.
  • Support the investigation and resolution of BAU issues, escalating more complex problems to senior team members as appropriate.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with users, providing timely updates and helping ensure a positive support experience.
  • Assist with the development, testing, and deployment of enhancements, reports, and integrations within Workday Financials.
  • Troubleshoot user-reported issues with guidance from senior team members, focusing on accuracy and timely resolution.
  • Help maintain existing Workday reports and integrations, following established standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Technology teams to support a backlog of BAU requests and ongoing improvements.
  • Assist with testing and implementation activities related to Workday updates and releases.
  • Follow internal controls, security standards, and audit requirements in all system activities.
  • Maintain documentation of configurations, changes, and support procedures to aid knowledge sharing and continuity.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Workday Financials or a similar financial systems support role.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more Workday Financials modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement).
  • Basic to intermediate experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, and EIBs.
  • Ability to follow established processes, manage assigned tasks, and meet deadlines with guidance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-service mindset.
  • Willingness to learn, develop technical skills, and grow within a Workday ecosystem.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments (e.g., Jira).
  • Exposure to Workday release testing and change management activities.
  • Familiarity with integrations or cloud-based tools is a plus, but not required
