Asst. HR Manager

Job Title: HR Manager

Reporting To: Director / CEO

Location: Head Office

1. Job Summary

The HR Manager is responsible for building and managing the complete human resource function of a veterinary pharmaceutical company, including recruitment, performance management, payroll coordination, compliance, employee engagement, and HR policy implementation.

The role plays a strategic part in supporting sales growth, field force management, and building a performance-driven culture.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Critical in Sales-Driven Setup)

Manage end-to-end recruitment for:

Sales Officers

Area Sales Managers

PMT team

Accounts

Warehouse staff

Coordinate with Sales Head for manpower planning.

Conduct initial screening & interviews.

Ensure timely onboarding of field staff.

Maintain recruitment tracker & TAT (Time to Hire).

B. Induction & Training

Conduct HR induction for all new employees.

Coordinate product and sales training with PMT.

Develop structured induction program (HO + Field).

Track training effectiveness.

C. Performance Management System (PMS)

Design KPI system for:

Sales Team

Office Staff

Warehouse Team

Monitor monthly performance review process.

Support incentive calculations for sales team.

Conduct annual appraisal process.

D. Payroll & Compensation

Manage payroll processing (with accounts support).

Ensure:

Attendance tracking

Leave management

Expense claims (TA/DA for sales)

Ensure compliance with:

PF

ESIC

PT

Bonus Act

Maintain salary structure & CTC planning.

E. HR Policies & Compliance

Develop and implement HR policies.

Maintain employee records.

Ensure labor law compliance.

Manage appointment letters, confirmation letters, exit formalities.

Conduct background verification.

F. Employee Engagement & Retention

Conduct employee engagement initiatives.

Manage grievances.

Support leadership in culture building.

Plan sales conferences & annual meets.

Monitor attrition rate (especially field force).

G. HR MIS & Reporting

Maintain HR dashboard:

Headcount

Attrition rate

Recruitment status

Payroll cost ratio

Prepare monthly HR report for management.

H. Exit Management

Conduct exit interviews.

Analyze attrition trends.

Ensure full & final settlement process.

Retrieve company assets.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Sales team vacancy rate below target

Time to hire within defined days

Attrition rate within acceptable range

Zero labor law non-compliance

Timely payroll processing

Employee satisfaction score

Training completion ratio

4. Qualifications & Experience

MBA in HR / PGDM HR preferred

5–8 years experience (Pharma / FMCG preferred)

Experience handling field sales teams

Strong understanding of labor laws

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹490,000.00 per year
