Attorney

We are a small firm located in Medford, NJ, specializing primarily in plaintiffs' personal injury matters. We have a small firm feel in terms of an informal work setting and job flexibility. The position offers a new attorney the opportunity to jump right in and take on challenges not available in a larger firm setting. Experienced attorneys should be able to get up and running quickly, and will be paid accordingly.

Job offers new hires the opportunity to network and market themselves, and generate a fixed percentage of origination from day one. This would be encouraged but not required.

Job responsibilities include responding to motions, legal research, taking depositions, handling arbitrations, and potentially handling civil trials from start to finish. Depending on prior experience, a new associate would be expected to assist paralegals with responding to discovery requests while learning the attorney roles.

Judicial clerkship in New Jersey Courts is a plus. Prior experience in civil litigation a plus, especially in negligence/personal injury or workers' compensation matters.

Desired skills include critical thinking, interpersonal skills, strong organizational habits. Treating clients and staff respectfully is absolutely required.

Must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey.

Salary is negotiable and range listed above is base salary, not inclusive of any origination, year end bonus, performance bonuses, and 401(k) matching.
