Colas Rail Egypt is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support to its operational departments in the railway sector, including the construction and maintenance of railroad lines and metro systems. The role involves analyzing legal documentation for public tenders, drafting and negotiating contracts, and offering day-to-day legal advice on various aspects of Egyptian law. The Legal Counsel will also support HR on labor issues, coordinate compliance programs, and manage litigation strategies in collaboration with local and international teams. This position requires close integration with the local legal team under the supervision of the Country Director, while reporting to the International Legal Manager and the Legal Department in Paris, ensuring adherence to the group's ethical standards and risk management principles.

Bachelor Law Degree (a Master degree is a plus)
Experience:
Between 6 – 8 years (4 or 6 years’ experience in the construction or industrial sector is a plus)
Language Requirements:
Arabic & English is a must, French is a plus.
Colas Rail Egypt branch started its activities in 1980 with the construction project of line 1. Colas Rail has more than 40 years of experience in Egypt with solid references in the Energy and Electromechanical activities. Important references on the turnkey project of New El Marg have been acquired for Track and for Catenary.
Colas Rail Egypt is involved in all stages of the project from the Engineering to Maintenance phase, including procurement, construction, testing and commissioning and it is currently working on the construction of the Cairo Line 4 and of the Abu Qir metro line in Alexandrie.
