Litigation Attorney – First Party Insurance Team

Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid/Remote flexibility available)

Duvera's client, a highly respected plaintiff law firm, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their First Party Insurance Litigation Team. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who want to work in a supportive, experienced environment while handling property damage disputes involving residential, commercial, church, and school district claims.

The team manages cases from intake and pre-litigation through trial, offering exposure to all phases of litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and review motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery documents, and other legal filings

• Participate in motion practice, discovery disputes, trial preparation, and depositions

• Contribute to all phases of litigation, with opportunities for trial experience (1st or 2nd chair)

• Collaborate with a forward-thinking, detail-oriented team

• Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney admitted to the State Bar of Texas

• Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school with a Juris Doctor degree

• 1–5 years of litigation experience in civil cases or court proceedings

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with excellent organizational skills

• Experience in first party property damage litigation, “bad faith” claims, or insurance coverage litigation is a plus (not required)
