Position Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced attorney to join HLG (employed by Litson) to support a high-growth practice dealing in hemp and CBD law. You will draft, review, and advise on regulatory, licensing, contracts, and compliance matters across federal, state, and local levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and corporate documents
• Provide regulatory and licensing guidance specific to hemp/CBD businesses
• Monitor evolving hemp, cannabis, FDA, and agricultural law and advise accordingly
• Issue opinion letters and regulatory memos to clients, regulators, or third parties
• Advise on compliance, enforcement, and defense strategies
• Work collaboratively with the compliance team and operations to support client needs

Qualifications / Skills:

• Must be a licensed and sworn-in attorney in good standing
• Experience in regulatory law, licensing, or related fields (hemp/cannabis law preferred)
• Strong drafting and analytical skills
• Comfort with evolving and ambiguous legal frameworks
• Ability to stay current on state and federal hemp/cannabis laws
• Self-starter, able to handle multiple issues and collaborate across teams
