Attorney/Lawyer

We are looking for an experienced Attorney to join our team in Chicago, Illinois, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will provide legal expertise across various domains, including contracts, litigation, and compliance, while supporting a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal expert who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys working independently.

Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including supply agreements, vendor agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on employment matters, including risk mitigation strategies for Human Resources.
• Manage and resolve commercial disputes through litigation and alternative dispute resolution methods.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and corporate policies across all business operations.
• Advise on legal risks and provide pragmatic solutions to mitigate potential liabilities.
• Collaborate with internal departments to address legal concerns and deliver timely resolutions.
• Conduct legal research to support decision-making and policy development.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on legal strategies and outcomes.
• Proven experience handling a broad range of legal matters, including contracts, litigation, and compliance.
• In-house legal experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and deliver solutions efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Expertise in drafting, negotiating, and redlining contracts.
• Familiarity with commercial agreements and employment law.
• Experience in the food or beverage industry is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of legal practices within the manufacturing industry is advantageous.
