We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual with strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills to join our TEAM in the Livonia, Michigan area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain, follow up and track authorizations and problem solve as needed.
- Communicate with insurance companies to verify Insurance eligibility and requirements
- Follow-up on missing or inaccurate information.
- Ensures compliance with all state, federal regulatory requirements.
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current potential referral sources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Excellent customer service especially over the phone
- Knowledge of CPT's and ICD-10 codes
- Efficient with multiple software systems
- Proficient and attention to detail for data entry
- Ability to work well under pressure and address time sensitive deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience dealing with multiple insurance companies for verification of insurance and obtaining pre-authorizations for health care.
- Ability to work as a team member including sharing an office and work load with others in close proximity, assisting and prioritizing as a team to accomplish the goals of the team
- Email and e-faxing working with copy machines
- Knowledge of software systems Kinnser preferred
