Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled AutoCAD Designer with a strong background in electrical drafting to join our Converse-based team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to create detailed and precise engineering drawings that meet project specifications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in driving our projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD models and drawings based on specifications provided by engineers and project managers

· Draft and develop detailed electrical drawings: one-lines, schematics, panel schedules, and switchgear/equipment layouts.

• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet tight deadlines on complex projects.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards
• Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to refine designs and address any issues during the design process
• Conduct design reviews and present findings to team members and clients, incorporating feedback into revisions
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation in compliance with company policies
• Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD software and design techniques to improve design quality and efficiency continuously

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience using AutoCAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to produce design drawings.
• 2+ years of electrical drafting experience in commercial projects.
• Familiarity with equipment and switchgears layouts.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Experience in a specific industry, such as commercial electrical or electrical engineering.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software and familiarity with simulation tools
• Experience with project management software and methodologies

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• Expertise in AutoCAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, etc.)
• Familiarity with engineering analysis tools and methods
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and project specifications
