Job Summary

The AutoCAD Draftsman is responsible for preparing technical drawings, roll pass designs, equipment layouts, and modification sketches required for roll shop and mill operations. This role supports engineering teams with accurate and timely drafting work.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and update technical drawings using AutoCAD (2D/3D).
• Prepare roll pass drawings, guide layouts, and mill component sketches.
• Convert engineering concepts into detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Ensure drawing accuracy, correct dimensions, tolerances, and technical notes.
• Maintain drawing databases and revision histories.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and workshop technicians for drawing clarifications.
• Support roll shop modification projects with design inputs.
• Ensure compliance with drafting standards and mill specifications.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting/Design Technology.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting—steel mill/industrial experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks/Inventor is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Good communication and coordination skills with technical teams.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation discipline.
