Role Summary

The Draftsman is responsible for producing accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings for event setups, ballroom layouts, stage plans, and detailed shop drawings for fabrication. This role ensures all drawings are clear, precise, and aligned with venue standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. 2D Drafting

• Prepare 2D AutoCAD floor plans for ballrooms, stages, seating arrangements, structures, and event layouts.
• Create shop drawings for carpentry, stage, metal, and production teams.
• Convert event concepts into detailed and accurate technical drawings.

2. Ballroom Layouts & Site Accuracy

• Develop event layout plans according to ballroom dimensions, restrictions, and client requirements.
• Update plans based on site measurements and event manager feedback.
• Ensure circulation space, emergency exits, and venue regulations are properly reflected.

3. Coordination & Revisions

• Work closely with Events Managers and Production teams to ensure drawings meet exact needs.
• Revise and update drawings quickly based on comments or changes.
• Ensure the final drawings are fully ready for submission (venue, PTW, safety, or approvals).

4. Documentation & Organization

• Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project versions.
• Ensure all shop drawings follow company standards and are easy for teams to understand.
• Prepare drawing files in required formats (PDF, DWG, prints).

Qualifications

• Diploma in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D).
• Experience preparing shop drawings and layout plans.
• Knowledge of event layout standards is an advantage but not required.
