Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil Draftsman / Civil CAD Draftsman with 5–8 years of experience in the construction industry in United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate civil engineering drawings, supporting site execution, and coordinating with engineers and project teams for infrastructure and structural works.

The candidate must possess strong technical drafting skills, solid knowledge of civil engineering standards, and hands-on experience with CAD software.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, including structural, site development, earthworks, and infrastructure layouts
• Develop 2D CAD drawings for foundations, concrete structures, roads, drainage, and utilities
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and site requirements to produce accurate drawings
• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
• Revise and update drawings based on engineer comments, site conditions, and design changes
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and Construction Managers for drawing clarification and revisions
• Conduct site visits when required for measurements, as-built verification, and coordination
• Prepare and maintain as-built drawings and revision records
• Assist in preparing shop drawings and technical documentation for construction works
• Ensure all drawings are properly organized, archived, and updated
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality control in all drafting outputs
• Follow company procedures, project timelines, and technical standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as Civil Draftsman / CAD Draftsman in construction industry
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural drawings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD & REVIT (mandatory)
• Knowledge of Civil 3D or similar software is an advantage
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and site execution
• Ability to read and interpret structural and civil engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work
• Good mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and within a project team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to visit project sites when required
• Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

• UAE/GCC construction experience is an advantage
• Experience in infrastructure projects (roads, drainage, utilities, foundations)
• Knowledge of as-built documentation and site coordination
• Familiarity with HSE requirements in construction projects
