Job Summary:
Perform a variety of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance duties and assists in the installation of highly specialized or process type machines. Support highly specialized mechanized, electrical, automated or process type equipment.
Troubleshoot and takes corrective action by recommending and/or performing all types of maintenance to include but not limited to:
Diagnose and repair equipment.
Maintain electrical, mechanical and pneumatic control systems.
Independently installs and maintains equipment.
Develop creative solutions to highly difficult or complex mechanical or electrical problems.
Interpret and apply written specifications, schematic drawings, parts lists, prints and sketches to installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
May direct shift mechanic activities/projects, set priorities, maintain efficient work order flow and timely service to customers. May be required to train less experienced mechanics.
Maintain documentation according to Federal and Internal procedures.
Inspect, repair, and maintain site equipment in accordance with documented Standard Operating Procedures.
Document completion of preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with Standard Operating procedures.
Supports development of preventive maintenance procedures, for site manufacturing equipment.
Maintain documentation according to internal and external regulations:
Preventative maintenance Standard Operator Procedure (SOP) compliance.
Record activities in the equipment history system.
Build prototype machines:
a. Assemble, wire and test equipment.
b. Fabricate specialized tooling and other machine shop functions to support manufacturing needs.
Perform preventative maintenance:
a. Inspect, repair, and maintain plant equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
b. Document preventative maintenance procedure in accordance with federal and internal procedures.
c. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime.
Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exhibits good communication skills-verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language
Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Proven knowledge of Automation technologies, including and not limited to extensive experience with PLC ‘S, electronics, and robotics of various types.
Aptitude, knowledge, and/or experience with basics of one or more skilled trades such as: electrician, machinist, pipefitter
Familiarity with shop trade terminology and materials used
General knowledge of diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques
Ability to use tools and test equipment properly
PC proficiency

Experience:
7 – 10 years’ experience in electronics, electrical and mechanical field and/or related fields a must or completion of an apprenticeship program, military program or trade school.
Education:
Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year technical school required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $25.67 and $31.22 per hour and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
