Automation Specialist (GHL & N8N)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Automation Specialist to design, build, and manage powerful automation systems across three core platforms: GoHighLevel (GHL), custom-built API automations, and N8N. You will be the technical backbone of our marketing and operations infrastructure — creating intelligent, scalable systems that eliminate manual work, improve lead conversion, and power seamless client experiences. Strong English communication skills are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

GoHighLevel (GHL) Automation

• Build and manage multi-step GHL workflows using triggers, conditions, wait steps, date timers, and branching logic tailored to each client's customer journey
• Set up and configure GHL sub-accounts, snapshots, pipelines, calendars, forms, funnels, and email/SMS campaigns for new client onboarding
• Deploy and train GoHighLevel Conversation AI bots for automated lead qualification, follow-up sequences, and customer support
• Audit, troubleshoot, and optimize existing GHL automations to improve performance and eliminate workflow gaps

Custom Automation

• Design and build bespoke automation solutions using APIs, webhooks, and custom logic that go beyond out-of-the-box platform capabilities
• Integrate third-party tools, databases, and external services into unified automated systems through REST APIs
• Develop and maintain custom automation scripts using JavaScript or Python to handle data transformation, conditional routing, and advanced workflow logic
• Document all custom automation builds clearly — including architecture logic maps and maintenance guides for team handovers

N8N Workflow Automation

• Design, build, and maintain advanced N8N workflows across lead generation, CRM systems, email platforms, project management tools, and AI APIs
• Work with APIs, webhooks, data transformations, conditionals, code nodes, and custom variables in N8N to create efficient, low-friction automated pipelines
• Integrate AI tools and language model APIs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) into N8N pipelines to build intelligent, AI-powered automation flows
• Optimize N8N workflows for performance, error handling, retry logic, and long-term maintainability

Cross-Platform & General

• Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone business processes and architect scalable automation solutions to replace them
• Collaborate with the web design team to ensure front-end funnels and landing pages are correctly connected to back-end automations
• Monitor live automations across all platforms, proactively identifying and resolving errors and broken triggers
• Maintain organized workflow libraries and documentation for all automation builds across GHL, N8N, and custom systems

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in automation, systems integration, or marketing operations
• Proficient in GoHighLevel — specifically workflow automation, CRM pipelines, AI bots, and platform configuration
• Solid N8N experience: workflows, nodes, triggers, expressions, JSON manipulation, and the HTTP Request Node
• Demonstrated ability to build custom automation systems using REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth2, and API keys
• Proficiency in JSON — ability to access, manipulate, and return structured data correctly across automation nodes
• Working knowledge of JavaScript for custom logic in N8N Code Nodes and GHL integrations; Python is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting skills — able to diagnose and resolve complex multi-platform automation issues
• Fluent English communication skills — written and verbal

AI AUTOMATION EXPERTISE (REQUIRED)

Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience in at least two of the following:

• GoHighLevel Conversation AI — deploying, training, and optimizing AI bots for lead qualification and automated follow-up
• N8N + AI API Integration — connecting LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) into N8N workflows to build intelligent, data-driven automations
• Custom AI Workflow Design — building tailored AI-driven sequences that adapt based on user behavior, CRM data, or external triggers
• End-to-End Workflow Architecture — designing complete automated systems that handle the full customer lifecycle across multiple platforms

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Make (Integromat), Zapier, or Tray.io alongside N8N
• Familiarity with Supabase, Airtable, or Postgres-based backends for data storage in automated systems
• Knowledge of email deliverability standards — SPF, DKIM, DMARC
• Experience managing GoHighLevel SaaS mode, white-label accounts, or agency snapshots
• Background in digital marketing, lead generation, or sales funnel strategy
• Experience with N8N self-hosting or Docker deployment
