Automotive Electrical Engineer – R&D

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Automotive Electrical Engineer to join our Research and Development team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, testing, and integrating advanced electrical and electronic systems into armored vehicles, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate electrical and electronic systems for armored vehicles.
• Research and implement new technologies related to vehicle electronics, wiring, and control systems.
• Create and review wiring diagrams, harness layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Conduct troubleshooting, diagnostics, and testing of prototype systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, production, and design teams to support new vehicle development.
• Evaluate and test new electrical components and systems for reliability and compatibility.
• Support prototype builds, testing phases, and final system validation.
• Maintain detailed documentation for all electrical designs, test results, and modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Automotive Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive electrical system design and integration.
• Strong understanding of 12V/24V vehicle electrical systems, relays, CAN bus, and ECU integration.
• Experience using CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
• Hands-on experience with wiring harness assembly, testing, and fault diagnosis.
• Good understanding of R&D processes, prototyping, and testing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in armored vehicle design or special-purpose vehicle development.
• Familiarity with international automotive electrical standards.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.
