Automotive Mechanic

Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
• Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrain components, suspension systems, and brakes, including brake repair and wheel alignments.
• Service vehicles by replacing oil, filters, shocks & struts, tires, and performing tire service to ensure optimal safety and performance.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for disassembly, repair, and reassembly of vehicle parts.
• Execute specialized repairs such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration, diesel engine repairs, auto body repairs, welding, and auto estimating.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed for quality assurance and customer transparency.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to enhance vehicle longevity.

Requirements

• Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain components, suspension, and brakes.
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues.
• Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous.
• Ability to handle various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of ADAS calibration, air brake systems (for commercial vehicles), welding techniques, and auto estimating is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail during inspections and repairs.
