Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines (diesel and gasoline), transmissions, powertrain components, suspension, shocks & struts, brakes, steering, and alignments.
- Service vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, tire service, and suspension repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Repair or replace critical components like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes (for commercial vehicles), auto body parts, and welding repairs as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to perform repairs with precision while adhering to safety standards.
- Read and interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals to execute repairs accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed for warranty purposes and customer transparency.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing vehicle maintenance.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience in automotive repair environments.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, Schematics reading, and diagnostics software.
- Expertise in ADAS calibration, diesel engine repair, brake systems (including auto body repair), transmissions, powertrain components, and suspension systems.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; experience with auto estimating is advantageous.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge covering oil changes, wheel alignment, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and general vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to work efficiently on both gasoline and diesel engines while adhering to safety protocols.
