The Automotive Service Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing customer relationships by selling automotive service solutions outside the dealership or service center. This role involves prospecting commercial accounts, fleet operators, and business customers to promote service contracts, repair solutions, and maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in assigned territories, including fleet accounts, commercial clients, and business partners.
- Promote and sell automotive service contracts, maintenance programs, and repair solutions.
- Visit clients at their locations to understand their service needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.
- Track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
- Work with internal teams (service advisors, technicians, parts department) to coordinate service delivery and resolve issues.
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and service agreements in a timely and professional manner.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, and new service offerings.
- Attend trade shows, networking events, and fleet/customer meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in business, automotive technology, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in automotive service sales, B2B sales, or outside sales roles.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets in a service-oriented environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance, repair services, and fleet operations.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
