Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AVP – Java (Team Lead) to lead enterprise-grade Java application development. The role requires strong technical expertise, team leadership, architectural decision-making, and close collaboration with product, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, ensuring high code quality and timely delivery
• Design, develop, and review scalable Java-based applications
• Own system architecture, technical roadmaps, and best practices
• Oversee code reviews, performance optimization, and security standards
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for requirements, releases, and deployments
• Drive Agile/Scrum processes and ensure sprint commitments are met
• Provide technical guidance, risk assessment, and issue resolution
• Support production issues and ensure system stability

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot, Microservices
• RESTful APIs, Hibernate/JPA
• Experience with ReactJS or Angular (good to have)
• Database expertise: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes is preferred

• Proven experience leading and scaling development teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Decision-making, ownership, and problem-solving mindset

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
