Job Purpose
To lead, direct, and control the Linencraft business, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and financial objectives. The role provides vision and leadership, sets short- and long-term goals, allocates resources effectively, and drives operational and financial performance. The AVP ensures Linencraft maintains its market leadership position while expanding into new sectors and delivering consistent value to customers and stakeholders.
Key Result Areas
Provide leadership and strategic direction to ensure Linencraft achieves its financial, operational, and growth objectives.
Establish and implement short- and long-term business strategies, operating plans, and resource allocations to balance profitability and sustainability.
Ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations, implementing proactive measures to maintain a safe working environment for employees.
Lead, mentor, and develop senior managers and teams across operations, sales, customer care, logistics, and administration to achieve performance standards and business goals.
Monitor and evaluate performance across all Linencraft units against KPIs related to efficiency, cost control, revenue, compliance, and human resource management.
Approve and allocate labour and capital resources to maximise productivity and operational outcomes in line with professional recommendations.
Evaluate, recommend, and oversee investments in infrastructure, technology, equipment, and systems to enhance capabilities and support scalability.
Drive organisational design, talent management, recruitment, and training initiatives to ensure robust leadership and workforce readiness.
Address performance issues through coaching, counselling, and disciplinary measures to maintain high standards across the management team.
Ensure timely communication and cascade of policies, processes, and procedures across all levels of the organisation.
Collaborate with cross-functional managers to integrate supply chain and logistics strategies, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound flow of laundry items.
Guide sales and customer care teams in identifying and securing new business opportunities across airline, hospitality, healthcare, dry cleaning, and retail sectors.
Represent Linencraft in high-level negotiations and meetings with clients, partners, and industry leaders to pursue business opportunities and safeguard organisational interests.
Oversee operational management of existing business and project management of expansion initiatives, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Manage and control budgets, operating costs, and capital expenditure to support business continuity and strategic growth.
Review and negotiate supplier contracts, ensuring a reliable supply of goods and services that meet quality, cost, and timeliness standards.
Approve pricing strategies across all business segments, balancing market competitiveness with profitability.
Job Context
Linencraft is the Middle East*s most advanced industrial laundry and dry-cleaning provider, with facilities capable of processing over 340,000 linen and garment pieces daily. The business serves more than 45 airline clients, 40 hospitality partners, multiple retail outlets, and in-house hotel laundries. Its operations span logistics, airline laundry, hospitality laundry, dry cleaning, and administration. Linencraft has rapidly established itself as a market leader, expanding capacity from 4 tons to 92 tons, with further growth to 187 tons underway across three sites in Dubai. It is diversifying into the healthcare laundry sector while expanding hospitality operations by an additional 80 tons. The AVP role is central to sustaining this growth, positioning Linencraft as a world-class provider, and leveraging opportunities arising from the expansion of Dubai*s airline, hospitality, healthcare, and retail industries.
Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience
Education
Graduate or equivalent qualification with hands-on experience in laundry operations (mandatory)
Advanced degree or management certification (preferred)
Work Experience
Minimum 15 years of experience in industrial laundry operations, including at least 5 years in a senior management role
Experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage
Skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels in a diverse environment
Extensive knowledge of industrial laundry processes, equipment, washer extractor programming, continuous batch wash systems, chemical supplies, and stain removal methods
Proven expertise in business management, including budgeting, procurement, resource allocation, and supervision
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to perform under pressure
Demonstrated success in people management and team development
Established track record in hospitality and laundry sectors
