Location: Cairo, Egypt.

The Azure DevOps Engineer will be a key member of the Digital PMO Tooling team, responsible for the administration, governance, and support of the Azure DevOps platform across the Organization and Project levels. The role ensures the platform is reliable, compliant with company and PMO standards, and optimized to support project delivery teams. This position involves close collaboration with the Platform DevOps Engineering Team, as well as internal and external users, to maintain a seamless user experience, support day-to-day operations, and ensure adherence to established processes and best practices.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform full Azure DevOps administration at Organization and Project levels, ensuring proper configuration and governance.
  • Maintain and optimize organization and project settings, including processes, workflows, rules, layouts, teams, and area paths.
  • Manage and support dashboards, reports, and analytics to provide visibility into project and portfolio performance.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and lifecycle management of Azure DevOps extensions and plugins.
  • Provide end-user support, troubleshooting issues related to boards, repos, pipelines, and user access.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and capacity, and take proactive measures to ensure platform stability.
  • Collaborate with the Platform DevOps Engineering Team to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and platform evolution.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying automation opportunities (e.g., PowerShell, Power Automate, Python).
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of company standards, PMO processes, and Azure DevOps governance frameworks.
  • Act as a liaison between PMO, development teams, and platform engineering to ensure efficient operations and user enablement.

ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS?
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • University Degree in the relevant area.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in Azure DevOps administration at Organization and Project levels.
  • Strong background in configuring and managing processes, workflows, and governance in Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in supporting users and troubleshooting platform-related issues (access, boards, pipelines, repos).
  • Practical experience in dashboarding and reporting in Azure DevOps.
  • Exposure to automation and scripting for administrative efficiency (PowerShell, Power Automate, Python).
  • Experience working in an Agile delivery environment (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban).
  • Prior collaboration experience with cross-functional engineering and PMO teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps platform administration, configuration, and governance.
  • Understanding of PMO and project delivery processes, with ability to align technical configuration to business workflows.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, Power Automate, and Python for automation and maintenance tasks.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to produce dashboards, reports, and data insights to support decision-making.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a customer- and service-oriented approach.
  • Awareness of general cloud technology trends (IaC, Containers, PaaS), with a focus on Azure, to collaborate effectively with engineering and security teams.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as:
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
  • Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and commitment to platform consistency and quality.
  • Good proficiency in English as a day-to-day business language is a must
