We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented B2B Sales Executive with expert knowledge of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal and government tendering processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and business opportunities within government departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and other institutional clients by managing the end-to-end tender lifecycle on the GeM platform and other e-procurement portals. Key Responsibilities
- GeM Portal Management: Manage and operate the company's account on the GeM portal, including seller registration, company details, compliance, and documentation.
- Tender & Bid Management:
- Identify and track relevant government procurement opportunities, bids, reverse auctions (RAs), and custom bids on the GeM portal and other e-procurement platforms daily.
- Analyze tender documents (RFQs, RFPs) to understand technical specifications, compliance requirements, terms, and conditions.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely technical and financial bids in coordination with internal technical, finance, and sales teams.
- Handle pre-bid queries, clarifications, and post-bid communications with government buyers.
- B2B Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve government sales targets and expand the company's presence in the institutional market.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with government officials, procurement officers, and key decision-makers.
- Generate leads through market research, networking, and online channels to create a robust pipeline of government projects.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for clients when required.
- Order Processing & Compliance:
- Process purchase orders (POs) received through the GeM portal and coordinate with logistics and dispatch teams for timely delivery and fulfillment.
- Payment & Reporting: Track payment status via PFMS or buyer departments and follow up to ensure timely payment reconciliation with the accounts department.
- Maintain detailed records and prepare regular MIS reports, sales forecasts, and performance analyses for management review.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience (2-5 years) in B2B sales, tender management, or a related field, with mandatory hands-on experience in GeM portal operations.
- Deep understanding of the GeM portal (V3 or latest version) functionality, including various bid types (Bunch, Reverse, Custom) and catalog management.
- Strong knowledge of government procurement rules and documentation standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-handling skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting) and CRM software.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Arts, Science, Commerce, or a related field.
- Bike with valid driving license must.
