Backend Performance & Security Engineer - .Net

Role Summary

We are hiring a backend engineer focused on optimizing APIs, SQL queries, caching layers, and security standards for large-scale enterprise applications built on .NET Core and SQL Server.

Technology Stack

.NET Core 8, SQL Server 2019 Enterprise Edition, Redis, SQL Lite, OData

Key Responsibilities

• Profile and optimize .NET Core 8 APIs for performance, concurrency, and scalability.
• Refactor and tune SQL Server stored procedures, queries, and indexes.
• Implement partitioning, materialized views, and temporal tables for scaling data performance.
• Optimize Redis caching and IIS configurations for faster releases and throughput.
• Conduct grey-box and black-box testing to identify and close vulnerabilities.
• Design and prepare backend services for microservices architecture transition.
• SQL query optimization and performance tuning
• Identifying application-level slowness and providing solutions
• Cybersecurity compliance and best practices
• Web application security
• Data privacy and security standards

Required Skills

• 6+ years of backend development experience using .NET Core and SQL Server.
• Proficient in SQL Server query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and query execution plan analysis.
• Hands-on with IIS tuning, Redis, and application performance profiling tools.
• Strong understanding of API security, authentication, and OWASP compliance.
• Experience in microservices design using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs REST.

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Knowledge of cloud scaling strategies and load balancing.
• Experience integrating Application Insights or similar performance monitoring tools.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Reduce API response times by at least 50%.
• Achieve SQL query execution within <2 seconds for key procedures.
• Zero critical vulnerabilities remaining after

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs200,000.00 - Rs250,000.00 per month
