Backup Babysitter (Flexible Schedule)

Job Overview
Are you passionate about caring for children and looking for a flexible opportunity to make a positive impact? We are seeking dependable and professional babysitters to provide backup childcare services for families with children of all ages throughout the Austin area. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, as caregivers may accept or decline shifts based on their availability. Candidates must be available to work at least one full weekday.

Duties

• Provide attentive, high-quality care for children of varying ages
• Prepare and sterilize bottles as needed
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals for children
• Engage children in age-appropriate, developmentally supportive activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting pay of $22 per hour
• An additional $1 per hour for caring for three or more children
• Mileage reimbursement for travel exceeding 30 miles one way
• Company-paid annual background screenings
• Professional development and training opportunities

Qualifications:

• Reliable, responsible, and professional demeanor
• Ability to travel to multiple homes throughout the Austin area
• Strong childcare experience with children of various ages preferred
• Excellent communication and time management skills

Requirements:

• At least one year of professional nanny/babysitting experience
• Experience caring for an infant
• Must be 18 years or older
• Drivers license and reliable transportation w/ insurance
• Pass annual background screening
• Provide 2 childcare references
• First aid and CPR certified*
