Responsibilities

  • Process a variety of banking transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, and handling debits and credits using financial software and cash management systems
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and guiding clients through banking products and services
  • Assist customers with account openings, loan applications, and loan processing procedures while explaining terms clearly and professionally
  • Identify opportunities for upselling financial products such as savings accounts, credit cards, or loans to meet customer needs and enhance their banking experience
  • Detect and prevent fraud by monitoring suspicious activity and adhering to security protocols during cash handling and transaction processing
  • Maintain precise records of all transactions, including 10 key typing tasks and retail math calculations to ensure accuracy in cash management
  • Foster strong relationships with clients through relationship management techniques, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and trust

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, including cash handling, cashiering, debits & credits, and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically in diverse situations
  • Proven experience in financial sales, upselling, and customer relationship management to promote banking products effectively
  • Familiarity with financial services software systems and cash management tools to streamline daily tasks
  • Ability to detect potential fraud or suspicious activity through attentive monitoring and adherence to security procedures
  • Competence in loan origination processes and supporting clients through loan applications and documentation procedures
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling, record keeping, and compliance requirements
