Bar Server

Job Summary

NAJA Mediterranean is seeking an experienced, professional Bartender to join our team. This is a restaurant-focused bartending role for someone who understands how to balance quality drinks, strong service, and steady volume. The ideal candidate is confident behind the bar, guest-focused, and able to manage service tickets, bar guests, and large tabs efficiently.

This role is primarily a restaurant bartender position, with occasional late nights and special events.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
• Operate Toast POS to process bar orders, server tickets, and large party tabs
• Handle an individual cash drawer with accuracy and accountability
• Provide warm, professional hospitality to bar guests
• Answer menu questions and make recommendations across cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
• Monitor guest consumption and ensure responsible alcohol service
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service flow
• Assist with restocking, bar prep, and basic inventory organization
• Uphold cleanliness, food safety, and health department standards
• Manage time effectively during busy dinner service and high-volume shifts

Experience

• Previous bartending experience required
• Experience in full-service restaurant environments preferred
• Ability to balance speed, accuracy, and guest interaction
• Comfortable handling cash drawers, server tickets, and large party tabs
• Familiarity with Toast POS or similar systems preferred
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
• Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
• Availability for nights and weekends
• Typical shifts range 6–9 hours
• No certifications required

Compensation

• $4/hour + pooled tips
• Average earnings $30–$40 per hour
• Cash tips paid bi-weekly
