Position: Barge Captain
Location: Oman
Salary: AED 3,500 (Starting Salary)

Job Description:

The Barge Captain will be responsible for the safe navigation, operation, and management of the barge during marine and offshore activities. The role involves supervising crew, maintaining vessel safety, and ensuring compliance with maritime laws and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and navigate the barge safely in compliance with maritime regulations.
• Supervise barge operations including anchoring, towing, and positioning.
• Oversee crew activities and ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the barge and its equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, fuel usage, and maintenance logs.
• Communicate with port authorities, tug operators, and other vessels as required.
• Ensure emergency preparedness and conduct safety drills onboard.
• Report operational issues and coordinate with shore management.

Requirements:

• Valid Captain’s or Master’s License for barge or equivalent marine vessel.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating barges or similar vessels.
• Strong knowledge of marine navigation, safety procedures, and regulations.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in offshore/marine environments.
