Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, ensuring that every guest receives an exceptional experience. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and providing outstanding service to our customers.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly while ensuring accurate change is given.
• Assist with food preparation as needed, including pastries and light snacks.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; communicate needs to management.
• Uphold the café's standards for quality control in both beverages and customer service.

Skills

• Proven barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Strong time management abilities to handle busy periods efficiently.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and sales transactions.
• Familiarity with food safety practices in the food industry.
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
