As a barista, you often have to work in a fast-paced environment and need to multitask effectively. The job role of a barista includes a variety of responsibilities that ensure customers receive high-quality products and excellent service. Key responsibilities typically include:
- Coffee Preparation:
- Brew coffee and espresso drinks (e.g., lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos) using commercial espresso machines and other equipment.
- Ensure consistency and quality in the preparation of all coffee beverages.
- Customize drinks according to customer specifications.
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers and take their orders.
- Provide recommendations and answer questions about the menu.
- Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions.
- Operating Equipment:
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment.
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Sales and Cash Handling:
- Process transactions using the cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment accurately.
- Balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
- Assist with ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
- Keep track of expiration dates and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
- Work Environment Maintenance:
- Keep the coffee shop clean and organized, including seating areas, counters, and restrooms.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly.
- Follow opening and closing procedures.
- Training and Collaboration:
- Train new baristas and other staff members on coffee preparation techniques and shop procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation and excellent customer service.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on improving operations and customer experience.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay informed about different types of coffee beans, brewing methods, and industry trends.
- Develop a deep understanding of the menu, including food and beverage items.
- Educate customers about coffee origins, flavors, and brewing techniques.
Minimum experience of 1 to 2 years in the same position/industry in UAE is mandatory.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,200.00 per month
