Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and friendly service
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using retail math and cash handling skills
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating zones
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
• Assist in food preparation and serving of light snacks or baked goods as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and creating a welcoming atmosphere

Skills

• Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles within cafés or the food industry
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transactions
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for sales, cash handling, and retail math tasks
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
• Experience in food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of coffee preparation methods and food industry best practices
