Roles & Responsibilities
1. Beverage Preparation
Prepare high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to brand recipes and presentation standards.
Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and brewing equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain consistency in taste, portion, temperature, and appearance of all beverages.
Create latte art and maintain skills in advanced coffee-making techniques.
2. Customer Interaction & Service
Greet guests warmly and take beverage orders accurately.
Explain beverage options, recommend drinks, and promote specialty items.
Handle guest complaints regarding beverages with professionalism and coordinate solutions with the supervisor or manager.
Prepare takeaway beverages and ensure proper packaging.
3.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista counter, coffee station, and service area.
Ensure all equipment is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly.
Follow opening and closing procedures for the bar area, including machine cleaning and stock setup.
Properly label and store ingredients such as syrups, milk, coffee beans, and garnishes.
4. Stock & Inventory Control
Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, ice, takeaway cups, and other barista supplies.
Inform the supervisor or manager of low stock for timely replenishment.
Follow FIFO (first in, first out) for product rotation and reduce wastage.
Assist in monthly or weekly inventory checks as required.
5. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance
Follow Dubai Municipality hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
Ensure all drinks and ingredients are stored at correct temperatures.
Maintain personal hygiene, proper grooming, and a clean uniform.
Report any maintenance or pest issues immediately.
6. Payment & Billing Support
Enter beverage orders accurately into the POS system.
Assist with billing, processing payments, and issuing receipts when required.
Maintain accuracy during rush hours and ensure correct order delivery.
7. Team Support & Coordination
Coordinate with waiters and captains for dine-in drink orders.
Communicate clearly with the kitchen regarding special requests (e.g., dairy-free, allergy concerns).
Support service staff during busy periods by assisting with tasks like water service or table clearing when needed.
Participate in daily briefings and staff training programs.
8. Quality Control & Standards
Taste test coffee and beverages at the start of the shift to ensure quality consistency.
Ensure the correct coffee grind size, milk texture, and extraction time.
Report any inconsistencies in coffee beans or supplies to the manager for immediate action.
9. Upselling & Product Knowledge
Promote signature drinks, seasonal beverages, and dessert pairings.
Maintain strong knowledge of coffee beans, origins, brewing methods, and menu items.
Provide recommendations to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
10. Additional Responsibilities
Assist in setting up beverage stations for catering events when required.
Support the Restaurant Manager and ARM with any operational tasks related to beverages.
Participate in ongoing training to upgrade barista skills, beverage knowledge, and customer service techniques.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
