Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
• Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices
• Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately, ensuring proper transaction processing
• Assist in food preparation and food service tasks to support overall café operations
• Engage with customers to provide excellent service, addressing questions or concerns promptly
• Follow health regulations and safety procedures related to food handling and serving

Skills

• Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is required; receiving constructive feedback is key.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast or Square
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
• Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly, positive attitude
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
