Barista
Meet Me at Madison's Cafe & Restaurant located in Montclair, NJ is seeking an experienced Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and creating a positive and enjoyable experience for our guests. If you have a passion for creating coffee drinks including specialty crafted drinks and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Duties will include the following:

- Prepare and serve beverages such as coffee, matcha latte, cappuccino, teas and homemade juices such as green energy drinks.
- Take pastry/sandwich orders and provide recommendations.
- Will operate a panini machine.
- Collect payments from customers and process transactions accurately.
- Assist with restocking your area during and after your shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with glassware and coffee cleaning duties such as operating the dishwasher. Must be willing to assist with weekly deep cleaning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient service.
- Cleans station to ensure Health & Safety requirements.
Job requirement:
- Schedule available: Friday, Saturday and Sundays. 10am-3pm.
- Must be able to operate coffee equipment that includes an espresso machine.
- Proficient in using POS systems and cash registers.
- Excellent barista skills including specialty coffee design are a plus.
- Must be able to communicate with guests in English.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
