Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages. Your expertise in coffee preparation, cash handling, and collaboration will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. You will also be part of brining the centuries-old tradition of kava to our community. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their tastes.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using the cash register and POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including coffee machines, equipment, and dining areas.
• Engage with customers to create a friendly environment and encourage repeat business.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items, reporting any shortages to management.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math is essential for this role.
• A strong understanding of coffee types, brewing methods, and flavor profiles is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively within a team setting.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash register operations and inventory management.
