Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
• Handle food preparation and food handling tasks, ensuring all items meet safety and quality standards
• Operate POS systems such as toast POS for accurate cash handling and sales transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing guest needs
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and smooth operations
• Follow food safety protocols and health regulations consistently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills and retail math principles
• Knowledge of food safety practices, food preparation, and proper food handling procedures
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
• Experience in the food industry or retail environment is advantageous but not mandatory
