Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide excellent customer service and handle cash transactions efficiently will contribute to the overall success of our café.

Responsibilities

• Follow established cafe manuals and procedures precisely.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Support the team with light retail, restocking, and general operations such as a booking.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Stay informed about menu offerings and promotions to effectively communicate with customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
