Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team at our Filipino inspired café. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and providing exceptional service to enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
• Operate the Dripos POS system for order processing and cash handling.
• Assist with food preparation and ensure all food items meet quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café, including workstations, dining areas, and equipment.
• Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
• Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the café.
• Stay informed about new products and promotions to effectively assist customers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or café environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Dripos POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• A passion for coffee and eagerness to learn about different brewing techniques and beverage preparation.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
