Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process customer orders and handle cash transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas to ensure a safe and inviting environment.
• Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; notify management when stock is low.
• Follow food safety guidelines and maintain compliance with health regulations.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent time management abilities to handle peak hours efficiently.
• Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus; training will be provided.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
